Eriko Tamura Blogs
Eriko Tamura (Mai) updated her blog today. The post was dated March 23rd, but she states she was unable to post it until today.
The filming [has] wrapped! Finally..finally !!! The last shoot was the scene [with] James [Marsters] and I, it took till night, and the moment we finished, Paul shouted ”Eriko’s wrapped!” [and] I was filled with emotion. Jim* said happily, ”We did it!!” staring at my eyes, we hugged one another and shared our joy. Rod stood by us, at the moment, I felt we could relate to one another without words. After talking [a few words with Tim], there [was] a photo session. Crew and Mexican workers took a lot of photos with us. [When it] ended, I came back to the trailer with my friends coming from LA. I signed my autograph to various [people], and we got into a bought car, [and] we left the set.
After we came back to the hotel, my friends and I went to Jim’s home, and there happened to be Rob, who is the cinematographer, and Paul and Jim. They partied with the [men], [and] we joined them and drank a little, and we talked genuinely about the past days [in] Durango and we had a very [good] time.
[When we] came back to the hotel again, I packed up in a hurry. Baggage for two months [is so] much but I didn’t [have] time to rest, soon I got into a bought car and we went to the Durango airport and came back with Jim and Rod [in] the same airplane.
I learned a lot of things. Until now I experienced various movies and TV in Japan. But [this is] my first time to work in an American studio’s movie. The long shooting for two and a half months and the locations and [the people who] couldn’t understand English. At first I feared I [didn't] know what to do and felt close to tears.
But when the shooting wrapped, [the] fulfillment and accomplishment and quality time we spent together was [worth it and] all the hard times I felt [in the past were] only delightful and happy feelings [now]. I understood how hard we worked with time and the roles, and I [did it] thinking it will end some day. I did various work in Japan, I intended to know it, but there was no one who was Japanese, [they spoke] all different languages. I experienced it alone and all things were new to me. I felt various things for [the] first time like a baby.
I’m sorry for [the] delay to update this blog, I wrote this soon when it ended, but after I came back to LA, there was still so much left to do. And during [that period], I forgot the login name and password so I couldn’t login…

*This “Jim” she refers to is most likely James Wong, the director.

Damn, either she’s retarded or Japanese language just can’t be translated well…I’ve tried with Google and I’m always shit out of luck, but at least you can understand some of it. Does anyone know what’s she’s talkin about here?
April 28th, 2008 at 3:19 pm
@Sean: It’s just a bad translation, obviously. Japanese is a pretty tough and complex language as it is, and the many little translating engines of the internet can only do so much.

Whoaaaa im also confused Sean! What exactly is she talking about? It sounds like she’s saying there not done filming to me
Im confused!!!! Maybe they decided to add some extra scenes. I don’t know???? What is she saying?

what the hell is she blathering on about i like this part….”Paul and screaming, I was impressed by the breasts are full. Jim is a joyfully “We did it!!” HAHA sounds like a real freak fellas hell yeah get some
April 28th, 2008 at 5:45 pm
Basically if read her post its summarizing her experience of filming Db. But i gota admit this line ‘I was impressed by the breasts are full. ” kinda perplexed me!
She seem to share special moment with James Wong when they wrapped since they to work & communicated closely together, It seem like she had a lot adversity starting out but eventually overcame them by the end of filming.
April 28th, 2008 at 5:54 pm
haha i respect her that was just funny “We did it” hahahah after the breast comment shes a freak hell yeah
April 28th, 2008 at 6:07 pm
“I was impressed by the breasts are full.”
This movie is sounding better and better.
April 28th, 2008 at 6:23 pm
sorry to burst ur bubble guys. but yea japanese is a bit weird; the breasts are full most likely should’ve ment something along the lines of “i was impressed by how much heart went into this production”
breasts translates into むね, which also means heart, chest, etc. kind of like a more commonly used form of the word ‘bosom’.
and dont worry about the rest of the random jap parts, no important info is hidden away there, its all just parts of the sentences that idnt get translated. u get the jist of it in english alone.
April 28th, 2008 at 6:45 pm
I’ll interpret it as her breasts being plump and juicy, thanks…
April 28th, 2008 at 7:09 pm
nice name breasts are full lol
April 28th, 2008 at 7:10 pm
But how do you explain where she proclaims to “do it” with this jim character haha
April 28th, 2008 at 7:34 pm
@Matthew: Jim = James Wong.
April 28th, 2008 at 7:37 pm

Shavon Kirksey comments on poster. Keep in mind she’s an extra, and not involved in the marketing in any way.
April 29th, 2008 at 3:30 am
@Adam: so is she saying the dragonball is going to be cg?
April 29th, 2008 at 4:47 am
I don’t see how her comment that the poster looks cool, and that she knows nothing about what’s going on with marketing/post-production, means that she thinks it’s a fake. Am I missing something . . . ? O_o;;
April 29th, 2008 at 4:57 am

Now tell me an all CGI Dragon Ball/ DBZ movie wouldn’t be pure unadulterated awesomeness.
April 29th, 2008 at 2:22 pm
were all stupid the posters were fakes
April 29th, 2008 at 2:24 pm
@Matthew: That hasn’t been confirmed. At the moment they are still considered real.
April 29th, 2008 at 3:03 pm
@Adam: so is someone besides shavon saying its a fake?
April 29th, 2008 at 5:56 pm
wow!!!!!-thats fantastic news!!!!!!!!-what the hell does that mean!????-get a real translator then post it………
April 29th, 2008 at 6:02 pm
@robert g: Robert, the translation is near perfect. If you don’t like it, you can make or find your own. I took the time to edit it for grammar and spelling, but you’d rather sit there and complain for the sake of being rude.

the way it starts makes it sound like an erotic novel. lol.
