i was terribly afraid, i was thinking that a dbz movie would be an error, but after the past pictures, and this one, i am very surprised and happy. It’s sure that they cant do everything like the anime, but they had to respect few important things. We can’t say if they’ll respect enough the anime, but seeing the pictures, i really like them, it represents enough the characters. Let’s hope we’ll get a trailer soon.

i am sick of these anime fans going to dragon ball web sites and bitch about something they can change. the reason why hollywood is making these live action cartoons is because people want to know how they would look like in real life. Our generation is so lucky we grow up with these cartoons and now there becoming real, how cool is that. People for along time wanted to know how Goku would look like in real life, now you know he’s white. Sorry Asians and anime fans :cry:. if your that mad about the live action movie just simply don’t watch the movie. As for the pitcher it’s the best so far keep up the good work.

thats what im saying bucky, Chatwin makes a great Goku, people will say they could have done better than him but you can say that about almost anything. him being 18 is better than him being a little kid and theres nothing wrong with the hair either. another guy with some weird hair was wolverine and they threw that ‘do on Jackmans head and we know how that turned out. now, ive never seen any other real person besides him with wolverine hair but ive seen plenty of people on tv, the street, rock bands, wherever with hair looking like Chatwins or even more crazy than that… its not bad at all, he pulls it off just fine, if the hair were any bigger itd look ridiculous. as far as him not being big enough.. the characters 18, what do you expect?!

BTW, for those wondering about Goku’s gi . . . he didn’t wear it in DB until he trained under Master Roshi. And he doesn’t meet Roshi in the movie until after his grandpa dies, etc. So, yeah.
ALSO. He does wear his gi eventually. We had those leaked set pics a couple of months ago in which he (well, Chatwin’s stunt double, actually) wore the orange and blue uniform. No worries.

While Son Goku was not technically allocated the biological aspects of an Asian, any relatively intellectual being can assume that your average Asian would be much better perceived as a Son Goku, than your average American/Westerner. Also, there is not any human proof, that a Saiyan race does exist, while at the same time, there is not any human proof, that a Sayian race does not exist, thus weakening your statement of it being “impossible” to hire a Saiyan.

I think many of you are so delusional about him being Goku, the hairstyle does not even resemble Goku’s in anyway. I am an American, yet this what Fox is presenting us with? What in the bleepin hell we getting this for Goku and this live-action crap for a movie. I swear, this movie is going to suck big time. To all of you who are thinking this movie is gonna be the biggest thing since sliced bread, you obviously need to take your heads out of your asses and really watch the anime and read the manga to understand where many of us hardcore DBZGT fans are coming from. So before you spill out anymore worthless spiel, try looking at the original stuff. Later.

ok i have few things to say. i can remember awhile back i was on wikipedia rading about this movie and i read that james wong had stated that emmy rossum would be wearing a blue wig to play bulma (i don’t know what happened to that) but he said justin didn’t need a wig cuz he felt his hair already resembled gokus. my first thought after reading that was what the hell is this dude thinking but now after seeing these pictures i see what he means. His hair actually turned pretty good. i mean i was expecting them to just to just throw sum mousse on his head, spike his hair up and call it a day but it looks like they did really try to do gokus hair justice and more important it actually does resemble him. at first i was worryed that the only clue i’d have that this guy is supposed to be goku is other characters calling him by the name but now i look at these pictures and i can tell that least i can look at him and know who he’s trying to portray and thats good enough for me. in my opinion his hair looks as close to gokus hair style as u can possibly get with a flesh and blood person. there are people who are saying it looks ridiculous but lets be real gokus hair looks ridiculous for an animated character. and i’m sorry about this being so long but i can’t tell you how tired i am of people being pissed of and critizing everything about this move down to the incredibly unimportant parts. i just had to vent real quick

This movie is going to be the biggest failure since the history of movie making. Seriously, a perfect way of ruining a great anime
The actor is not right for the role, he’s supposed to be a monk raised kid, not a punk kid, his hair is wrong, you can’t just use hair gel and hope it’ll turn out okay, Krilin is not in the movie (so far), so that’s another big minus, master roshi has a beard, bulma has BLUE hair, yamacha has a scar etc.
I’m not gonna say that the actors should have been Japanese, Goku is a saiyan, he doesn’t have to be Japanese, but everyone else should
In the end, they could have done the hair via computer effects, I mean, they did almost the ENTIRE movie Transformers by special effects, and so did they the fantastic four, why couldn’t they use it to make the hair look bigger and more anime like?
If only I was the director
But seriously, I pity Chawtins wanna be carrier after this movie, or who knows, perhaps he’ll become famous after this failure, everybody seems to be talking about him nowadays

this movie will still bomb considering how fast the production is working, i mean all good movies take time, look at the Dark Knight and Transformers took more then a year to complete production. And yes Akira Toriyama said that race doesnt matter, maybe in Anime in Manga because readers and Viewers can imagine Goku as whatever they want Black, White, Asian, Middle Eastern, Islander whatevr. . .im asian and yeah i hate the fact that Justin is Goku rather see some one like Tony Jaa or even Stephen Chow lol! theres tons of great asian actors they could’ve picked but see thats just to me! i dont want to argue so yeah, but in my eyes alone goku’s asian its mostly all in the viewers or readers imagination
