For me, Yamcha came out a lot better than expected. LOL, he’s got sunglasses in the pic and Roshi doesn’t. However, Chi Chi seems a little out of character in that picture. It’s still cool though. This recent bombardment of great news seems as if it’s gonna give us all a heart attack! Thanks Adam!

I dont think thats a pic of Chi-Chi in character, I mean look at all the other pics it shows, everyone is in what looks like a scene fromt he movie, and the one with Jamie Chung just looks like some kind of picture for something else. Idk, maybe it is from the movie but it just doesnt seem like it to me. However, Yamcha looks awesome and so does Roshi. (OMG HAIR) From these pics, this movie seems like it wont blow. Yay!

It all looks good, except for Chow. I think it’s cool to take creative liberties, but he’s not bald….he doesn’t have glasses…and no beard. I’m not against Goku, Bulma or Yamcha, but unless Chow pulls off the lecherous character…it’s going to upset me.
It looks more like Chow went on vacation and got stuck in a DB movie.

I think the biggest thing thats giving me hope is Stephen Chow producing this, besides the character interpretations being great. Although, I still don’t think that’s an actual character photo of Jamie Chung.. but if it is, can’t complain about what Chi Chi would be wearing, as long as she “feels” like Chi Chi through her acting.
One thing that’s coming off as strange to me is that Mai will be in the movie, but no Pilaf. I assume they’ll just introduce her as someone who works for Piccolo.
And, maybe I missed out on this somewhere, but is James Marsters playing Piccolo (as in Ma Junior) or Piccolo Daimao?

Justin Chatwin as Goku. looking at the new scan, i can say Yes, without a doubt he is Goku. Most people won’t see it yet, but trust me, he is. Emmy Rossum IS Bulma. Period. Jamie Cheung makes a cute Chi Chi. not quite what i imagined, but i can accept it. Yamcha (Joon Park), doesn’t look like yamcha, but that’s probably a good thing. Ok, so Yun Fat Chow doesn’t have the beard, but he is a very good actor, he can pull it off.

Goku will be different from the anime. In the manga and i might be wrong im ptretty sure goku transforms into an ape when he sees the moon steps on grandpa gohan and thats how he dies…but in this movie grandpa gohan dies by the hands of piccilo or his henchmen. Goku is willbe a little more depressed and driven by revenge in the movie rather than the happy go lucky goku that we love from dbz

Just because you don’t like it doesn’t make any of us less of a Dragonball fan. I’ve been watching since the late 80’s, own all manga’s and daizenshuu’s, etc etc etc. but I know an interpretation when i see one. Personally though, no one cares what YOU want. No one cares what a SINGLE person wants. They’re going to do this film how they want. Accept it for what it is, or don’t go see it. Simple as that. It’s pretty sad how many people just seeing all this don’t already know that this is an ADAPTION. INTERPRETATION. DIFFERENT TELLING OF THE TALE. How come people don’t get this yet?

Why? I don’t understand at all. A different interpretation usually keeps some of the original styles. Like. Roshi should be bald…Or at least no hair color..or at least glasses..or at least pervy…or at least bearded… So far he has none of these things. Also, the Goku shots I think look fantastic actually, same with Bulma. Chi-Chi..could be wearing a little mroe traditional clothing..but otherwise good. And as for Yamcha…Well…They could have pulled a better pic where his hair didn’t look blonde. And I think his hair uh shouldn’t be…slicked back maybe? Yamcha’s hair was messy, not slick. They could have pulled of messy/realistic quite easily. And well..I guess everything else is okay..but Chi-Chi’s pic reminds me of a senior shot. lol

As for ChiChi’s pic . . . it really just seems like one of Chung’s modeling pics. All the other characters got stills from the actual movie, or official promotional images, etc. But Chung’s . . . just doesn’t look like either. O_o

yeah chatwin is as close to goku as you can get with a real life character. can see that more with all the pictures that have been released. thank god hollywood didn’t want a bigger name and be like ”hey i got it, lets have leonardo dicaprio or orlando bloom as goku!”
