We don’t normally post fan made creations here, but I thought this could be an exception. A friend of mine (who happened to make the banner for the site), made an excellent fan made trailer for the film. I know there’s millions out there, but I thought this one was among the best. For future reference, we won’t be covering any other fan made stuff, but you’re free to post your work on the forums.

This reminds me of my dream the other night where I was invited to see the first 10 minutes of the film. Goku was a farmer, and Bulma worked at a diner/sports bar. After I left, I was clearly pissed. But ever since that dream, I’ve hopped that something would pop up during this dry spell. Sadly nothing yet… though this seriously made my week, best fan-made trailer yet! I really liked the ending, must have taken a couple of days to render that.

That was really amazing, I’m a hardcore Dragonball Z fan and have hated the stupid fan trailers, but that gave me chills. It was awesome! just hope the actuall movie is as good or better. Keep up the good work you guys are the best sorce on the net for The movie.

This is the best fan made teaser I ever seen in my whole life. It looked like the real thing. I loved how it showed Mai with all those Fullum Assassins. That was freakin’ sweet!!!! This defiantly made my day…. Lebnash you is the man!! Dude you almost made me pee my pants.
If you look really quickly in the begining, you can see Goku on top of the nimbus cloud.

Amazing work, I love it. But I still can’t wait for the real official trailer. I wouldn’t be surprised if they made a teaser trailer that just shows the logo, but you hear Goku saying “Kaaaa…meeee…haaaameeeeeee…HAAAAAAAAAAAA!”

Now I know this is probably nothing to go by at all, but I was just thinking - last year, Speed Racer came out a month after what DragonBall’s gonna be coming out next year, and we didn’t get a trailer for that until December last year…granted DragonBall’s probably already pretty much done with post-production by now, but just by basing it off of a similar movie’s timeline I wouldn’t be surprised if we didn’t get it till November. I’m also basing this off the fact that WB put a lot of faith into Speed Racer, what with it’s big budget ($120 million) and all.
I just hope that Christina Inman lady wasn’t pulling our legs when she said late July/early August.

This fan made trailer its the best one I ever seen so far, because if you go to youtube you will only find dragonball z fan made trailer. I think there is much people that doesnt know that tht the movie will be released its going to be dragonball and not dragonball z.

I think it’s awesome! But, it would’ve been even more convincing if he decided not to use the images of the main characters. Because of that it didn’t seem real enough. It’s good otherwise though nice job!

If a fan can make something like this then imagine what professional sfx guys can do with a $100 million dollar budget (obviously all won’t go to the trailer haha). Then again i’ve seen awesome trailers of movies and the movies and the movie itself was aweful (thingk ‘Street Kings’ with Keanu Reaves). Good job man.

In America, I don’t think this will even come close to 150 million dollars.. Especially if it’s PG.
The only way this will atleast make its budget back in the states is if this movie is unbelieveably badass. The idea doesn’t fly well with American audiences, and it has no star-power whatsoever. (Yeah, Chow-Yun Fat, but i’m talking about America). Also, the marketing so far has been ASS. There’s no buzz about “Dragonball” at all.
I’m sure someones going to jump on me for saying that, but i’m just stating my opinion. I’m not a “hater”, I wanna see this movie rock.

the only way this movie to be “successful” is only because people liked the anime, not the movie, people don’t care for the movie itself, they just want to see the original story and character with live actors and actresses. I don’t get why they’re creating new characters for the movie - specially Beaviot or Teto or what the hell his name is - when thet have like millions of characters in the anime.
Plus, I’m not a hater, but the school idea ruined the whole movie for me, it’s just not going to be the same feeling after that. Just an opinion guys. As I want Freeza, I want this movie to be successful so they can make more movies… but they’ll never redeem the school thing, I couldn’t think anything more out of place of Goku’s character than that.
Even if the movie has a great box office - which I think it will btw - the review will be harsh so prepare yourselves…
trust me the highschool thing will appeal more than you think….

highschool thing is SO over-used in movies these days, most people are gonna get annoyed with it.

it will be a small portion of the movie so it will NOT ruin the movie, can pretty much guarantee that. Since I don’t think the movie can be decided on being sucky just by the first 10-15min of school stuff.
Is anyone interested in the Prince of Persia movie? Take a look at how much Jake Gylennhal(lead actor) beefed up for the role.

Remember GOKU isnt weak like the prince from the prince of persia movie, an 18 year old wouldnt be super buff anyway. not only that but GOKU would have to benchpress a boing 777 to get a work out, so since he has powers than why would he try to get super buff?
@nelson18: The script is very interesting but I strongly doubt it is the actual movie. First, it makes no mention of Master Mutaito(Ernie Hudson), they said there would be no anthropomorphic animals, so Shou is out, supposedly Krillin doesn’t appear in the movie, Chichi never fights in the World Martial Arts Tournament as is shown in the clips, and though whoever wrote this did include many things from both Dragonball and Dragonball Z,(Suno, androids, Pilaf, and Goku finding out he isn’t human) it doesn’t stay true to Dragonball and it has been stated that those who are making the movie want it to be as faithful to the original as possible. Sorry if I ripped this script apart or hurt your feelings, but that is my opinion.
Now, if it turns out that this is or is very similar to the actual movie, than I am sorry and I am also a little disappointed.
With that said, I actually loved the script, it is a very interesting and creative blend of the entire Dragonball series with parts from DBZ.
At first I really thought it was the real script, but even though I believe it is not, it was still riveting. I love how they set it up to be thousands of years in the future with the world as we know it having been destroyed by a transformed Saiyan and that Goku is part of a prophacy that is repeating itself. I also like how Goku learns the meaning of what Gohan said about understanding time, it seems whoever wrote this put alot of time and thought into it. It was also funny how they kind of included the DBZ card game in the story; I use to play it and I still have my decks. If anyone were to actually make a movie from this(live-action or animated) I would love, LOVE to see it.

Anyways, stop and think for a minute lads. Maybe they haven’t released this trailer yet because they know how epic it is going to be and how much is riding on it. And they’re making every necessary editing they can to make it look tru to the manga. @ron: He doesn’t try to, he just is from all his intense training. (He didn’t bench press a boing but he did wear clothes that weighed hundreds of lbs for 3 years training for the tournament. Not to mention he was training at an extremely high altitude which of course equals a lot less oxygen.
actually after watching it again, as amazing as it, if the actual trailer is anything like that, i will not go and see it, and instead, stick on the namek saga.

How disappointing that August so far turned out to be such a slow news month when we all thought this was the big month for dragonball. August isnt over yet but we are nearly 13 days in and have not received anything new yet. *sigh*
i still predict were not getting a trailer till a month before or the exact month the movie is being released. i have little to no faith in fox when it comes to advertising DB
on imdb it says the trailer will be out with the Harry Potter movie…this makes sense because someone mentioned WB will be distributing this movie too….so we may not get a trailer til september…. i wouldn’t be surprised…though japan might get it before than…

@Clown Prince of Crime: It’s been confirmed that there will be NO talking animals in the movie, but as for actually having dinosaurs we don’t know as of yet. That’s probably going to be kept in secrecy until we actually see it in the movie.

@ micahel bowens, You say you “get girls” and “go on dates” and he has no life for making this BUT i no as a person that works in CG that this guy is no ametur…the first shot shows 3d tracking skills that you get paid ALOT! for so I think he gets the girls and i think he gets invited to the buisness meetings abroud and has defo got a life….he probs made this in the time off he has due to the fact he needs not to do a 9-5 job like your lame self….. I for one think its very good and salute the tech skill involved that most overlook
