Nerdorama has a bunch of new Dragonball screenshots from the trailer (set to release on October 17th)! Included in these shots is our first look at James Marsters as Lord Piccolo.
UPDATE: It has been confirmed these screenshots are not from the official theatrical trailer, but from a teaser trailer shown at expos.

Holy crap, those are a lot of nice images! =O
Highlights for me are definitely Chatwin in the orange and blue gi (looks pretty cool, especially with the nice color correcting/tone of the scene), the awesome Bulma poster, and of course the first glimpse at Piccolo!
Re: Piccolo, though: He’s pretty cool, don’t get me wrong, and I like that they made his skin tone a faint greenish color, instead of a full-on, bright green . . . but, eh. Maybe it’s because I could picture him so well in my head that I don’t feel super hyped up about the big reveal? Anyway, I know it’s probably PG-13 ‘n’ all, but I think they should’ve made him even more decrepit and scary. XD Ahahaa, I can’t wait to see Marsters in action. . . .

This has made my day… week… MONTH! This has definatly raised my hoped. I was afraid it would look too much like Final Destination! I don’t mind Piccolo (which is a major shock) but it definatly works for a movie. Common, who didn’t see then making it like the anime. This Piccolo is better for the movie imo. Can’t wait to see the trailer and footage in action.

wow, turns out the dude who posted a pic of picollo on his youtube video 3 months ago was right. He had a pic of picollo sitting on his throne wearing a long red robe with a blue sceen behind him. Wow, who knew.
So yeah, these look like shots from a Uwe Boll movie. It really has a Dungeons and Dragons vibe to it.

okay i was shocked with the piccolo pic
but after a few minutes it’s beginning to sink in and i like it 
Green is a problem on film. Remember, they use “Green Screen” for cgi because that color doesn’t show up on film and they can easily put FX over it. If they made Piccolo the original green, he would disappear and you couldn’t really see him well. They had to pick a shade of green that was slightly yellowish so he would stand out on film.

I don’t care if the movie is gonna suck ass, I like dragon ball, and I personally want them to make a sequel to this one, regardless of how well it does on opening. I sure hope to god that they don’t screw the movie up though. Fox says that they really like the movie, so much that they will make a sequel, so that has to be good.

I dont think he looks decrepit at all, his face is smooth. There are no antenae. I kind of think the pic of Goku in a fighting pose with the desert background looks kind of cheap…i mean, it looks like he was in front of the green screen. I agree, Piccolo is not green, but maybe it is because he is old and he will become a bit greener later. I hope in the next movie they give him a costume that looks more like the outfit he wears in the anime/manga(purple dogi, white cape, and turban).
Is it just me, or does it look like Goku may be about to powerup for a kamehameha in the last picture, because I seem to see a blueish color to his outstretched hand(it may just be because it is blurred as he moves it), or perhaps he just fired off a blast.
Anyway, I love the pictures and I can’t wait to see the trailer and movie.

The movie is not going to suck, if it does, then the whole Dragon ball (z) franchise is ruined. If you don’t want the franchise to blow up in flames, watch the movie. And if you want to watch the sequels, watch the movie, because the only way the sequels are going to be made is if the movie hits it big during opening day and/or in it’s first or second week at the box office. That’s how sequels are made. Sell well, make a sequel, please movie goers and fans.

They’re probably going to cgi over his skin liek they did for the hulk. Who knows. But the quality of the enviroments in that cave, or volcano or whatever it was looks fake. the should put real rocks in instead of fake ass fiber glass rocks.
