In a fight scene with Goku it appears that Piccolo’s ribbed armor is strapped on around his sides. He has strange black leather gloves on and a long sword with a square, not pointed end. Around his collar is quite a bit of black braid and brocade.

Let’s try to figure out what’s happening in the scene. This is obviously more than just a promo shot, probably a screen capture hopefully. Anyway from what we know. After going through the desert and meeting Yamcha, they find Roshi (I think). Maybe this is after all of that, and Bulma wants to check in at Capsul Corp to check the developements on finding Piccolo. While Bulma, Yamcha, and Roshi are inside, Goku eats this drumstick, and we will maybe have cops coming to ask him if he is stalking Capsul Corp members. Goku says he knows Bulma, and the cops laugh. This would be very true to the comedy style of the original series.

After all, I don’t have the best opinion about this flick, but even I think this is just about spot-on. In a way, the excellence of this picture points up my quibbles with the rest of the movie. I mean, if they can do this so right, why not everything else?

“Goku is chomping into what looks to be a turkey drumstick. Either that or it’s a gigantic chicken drumstick. He’s wearing his grey-black jacket and dark trousers and it’s in a street setting.

In a fight scene with Goku it appears that Piccolo’s ribbed armor is strapped on around his sides. He has strange black leather gloves on and a long sword with a square, not pointed end. Around his collar is quite a bit of black braid and brocade.

In all the photos of Piccolo I’ve seen so far, he isn’t green. But in the details ones he looks like he has moss forming in his crevices, so he does have a green tinge.

Over his ribbed armor, Piccolo wears a full length hooded cloak, which is the dark browny crimson color as seen in the trailer. It has a rich texture, it looks very exotic and has rows of Sequined circles up the front panels. Extremely nice and billowy.

When Piccolo does swirly things it is revealed that he has striped panels of dark velvety pink at the back of his cloak.

Overall, I’d say he looks like a modern, darker version of Piccolo from the show. But with a bad case of black ear wax and a much better cloak.”

Well that’s nice. Chatwin’s finally acting in character.

But we cannot judge it all with just one picture, can we?

I have strong belief that the reason why the crew went back for another reshoot is because they wanted to fix things for the benefit of the fans.

It’s pretty obvious that the producers have already visited this site (It’s the only main coverage source of DB the Movie in the world) and carefully looked at all of the comments, taking into account the RAGE and COMPLAINTS that’s been raging on around here. So they went back to set things right. For all we know, this picture could have been part of the reshoot.

I do sincerely hope that they remove Goku’s “sensitivity” entirely.

I have a friend who said about the movie, that Goku looks “cool”. And that wasn’t a compliment. Goku isn’t cool, nor sensitive (”I’m not ready for this!!” is just WRONG) nor having the slightest semblance of strong intelligence. He’s greedy for food, always hungry, rash, stupid and goofy yet lovable. That’s our Goku, and this picture looks promising. Still, can’t say for sure.

I hope that’s not Goku’s bike. And I hope he doesn’t DRIVE it. I think that’s a shot at some nightclub and Bulma just got out after getting information from some mobsters before kicking their asses, then she walks towards her bike where Goku is waiting while eating. Hopefully that’s BULMA’s bike we’re looking at and SHE drives it, not Goku.

Well I can honestly say, this picture was better than the one I had in my head when I heard Goku was eating a turkey/large chicken leg. I cannot wait for this movie, which I’ve stated numerous times. I’m glad to hear Adam confirm Lord Piccolo turning green, and I cant wait to see all the ridiculously large things Goku will eat, the face of Chatwin is pure GOLD. He is Goku, and I’ve said that for quite some time now. There is no one better to play him IMO, even if this movie flops at the box office, I will watch it over 9000 times during my lifetime. One of my childhood dreams is becoming a reality in only 5 short months. I cant wait to see this film completed, I urge all of you, in Goku’s major Kamehameha scene wont you stand up with me and yell it along with Chatwin? Ive always dreamed of doing that, and pretty soon I actually can.

Think during the ten days before the Cell Games when they’re trying to find all the dragonballs, just in case. He bumps into an old nemesis who tries to trick him into giving up the dragonballs by making him solve a bunch of mind games before dawn, thinking poor dumb Goku will never be able to figure them out, right? But what does he do? Solves every one, ITs to the fleeing bad guys, and walks off with all of their dragonballs. They’re so stunned they can’t even protest.

No, he’s not stupid. He’s just trusting and naive, and he occasionally gets that dumb look on his face when he’s thinking. And he’s always hanging around with Bulma, who’s a genius. Anyone’s gonna look like an idiot around her.

No problem with the rest of the comment, though. Heh. And thanks hugely for this picture, Adam.

@GutterBall: Definitely agree with you there. Goku was NOT stupid. He just never went to school, heck he grew up like a wild animal. If you take someone and don’t socialize them with other people for the first 12 years of their life, they’ll definitely develop social problems. The one thing Son Goku did know about- fighting- was something he was brilliant at. Even the very smart Vegeta admitted that. Also, Gohan was schooled and became a scholar, further showing that stupidity doesn’t really run in the family.

That’s why Wong throwing Goku in high school and making him so socialized just ruins his character. It takes away so much of what made him who he is. Taking away his confidence adds to that, it actually kills off completely who Goku is.

I don’t know about you, but Coreywilson10 is here for all the right reasons . I’m excited to see this movie and I can’t wait to see it on the big screen. I don’t agree on some things, but i’m willing to give it a chance and see what happens. They might prove me wrong!! I have faith it’s going to be epic, because I hope for the best. I want to see it succeed and become the best movie and anime in 2009. It’s just up to FOX!!

@Zach: Ehehe…no problem bro. Good to sse that our cuisine is known around here. What have you tried? I would recommend a good “francesinha”, ehehehe…not the healthiest, but definitely tasty. But must be really well made, you can’t eat it in any cafe or restaurant. And only in the northern part of Portugal…

yea thats goku alright just looking at the pic… but for the haters you guys dont know s**t what happen in that part and who cares if his eating the drumstick with his left hand and who cares if its not futuristic like in the anime the point is thats goku like or not doesnt have to be completely perfect… all tho i kinda do hate the hair style tho… but other than that THATS GOKU!!!! the hates see every single small detail they can find just to complain… give the director a damn break for even trying to make it like the anime version as possable plus its a family movie.. the crew are not gonna put all that perveted stuff it would of been freaking awesome but as long as justin chatwin does a good job playing the role of goku then we are good… and from the picture well that does seem like goku so HA HA IN YOUR FACE HATERS!!!!!

While I was in school I lived in Philadelphia so just a few Portuguese restaurants around the city are the only real experience I have with it. So now that I’m thinking about it I guess I can’t really say it’s not the tastiest because I’ve never really had authentic. But, I grew up in an italian household where pasta is king my friend. So, my taste leans a little more towards that.
