Thanks to CDJapan, we’ve learned the CD single for “Rule” by Ayumi Hamasaki will be released on February 25th with the following:

New single release from Ayumi Hamasaki includes theme song to the film DRAGONBALL Evolution “Rule” and insert song to the TV spot, “Sparkle.” Jacket A edition includes music video of “Rule” and “Sparkle.

The CD will also contain remixes and instrumentals of the song. Click here for more information.

Ayumi is a lovely Singer!
We are very blessed to have her on the soundtrack
I can’t wait to hear her song “Rule”, I hope they release the song a little early then that.
I can’t wait to see the Video for it too…. YES!! Dragonball it’s on it’s way.

I hope “Rule” is as good as “Cha la head cha la” or the other DB/Z/GT songs…. I love “Cha la head cha la”, “I’ll give you romance”, and “Spirit vs Spirit”!!

I used to love that song, but with everyone on youtube overplaying it and stuff i got so tired of it! and now I dont wanna hear it anymore! plus the synths in the song pissed me off and the echo-y singers voice!

One thing that db gt did right was the music (Japanese version at least) Dan Dan Koro… um spelling forgot the rest is still my favorite dragonball song. If this is anywhere close to the version sung by zerd or zurd, this will be an amazing theme song for this movie. Keep the feel of the story. Cha la head cha la is definatly in close second.

Surely Cha La Head Cha La would be played in a more orchestra version, however that song is from DBZ, not DB.

@DPA: still I dont like the overall super happiness of it. sounds toooooo kiddy. We need something more modern sounding. head chala is from the 80s. let it stay there. even so, its not my fav theme. I like the stuff from dragonball and dbgt better

but the music from db sounded better. the music actually had some real instruments and stuff. and I liked the style of the background music. but for this movie we shouldnt use any of the anime music, since the music style sounded like it was done in the 1970s. like seriously. if you grab any of the background music and put it behind a bruce lee movie or any other 70s kung fu movies, it would sound like it fit.
especially mixing the strings with the celestas for the melodies. that was very 70s style. and i know. ive heard so much music from that time period.

so anyway, I cant wait to hear the theme song!

i’d say that for a live action movie some of the bruce-faulconer songs would be great…they’re not that childish and moreover you can really feel them…..allthough i’d also mention that bruce’s music is probably better for beackground music…for example the “ssj transformation” or the “super saiyan 3 ascension theme” were awesome….i remember the cartoons when they were without them….but when the faulcooner versions hit the tv screen…man…i was blown away…some of them really gave you chills…the vegeta theme was also awesome…all this said and done…i hope the theme is good…something that would imprint itself into movie history like lotr music or star wars or jaws (allthough i doubt that:-<)….

the american music in dbz which was done by bruce falcouner was the best by far…i hated the japanese music…it jus didn’t have the feeling that the american version did…bruce’s music fit the mood of the show better and i wish this brian tyler guy would kind of sample that music into the movie somehow…or at least in the sequel which should be dbz…

Obviously those songs I chose must be changed in a more orchestral style. The Opera Monkey has a lot of good songs, and Bodysnatchers complete the final scene of the script that I`ve made (In the credits, that song sounds meanwhile we watch the dragon balls floating and moving fastly in a black background, in the end of the song the background turns into the universe (black with stars) and suddenly a big white luminous ball appears coming to our POV)

Due that sounds like it came right from a power rangers episode.

Also you should probaly not talk about your ‘movie’ as if its the official one. You should clearly state that it is a fan one and you dont have any rights to making a dragonball movie or fox will sue you and people might visit there thinking it is the official movie stuff and say ‘there is no way I am seeing that’ but that is probaly your plan.

The weird thing is that (I don t know if you too notice that) many effects have been changed, the ost notorious is that “mafuba” of Roshi, that blast was ,right?
